On the 22nd of April 2023, worldwide, we celebrate “earth day”, which helps us remember our planet's beauty and wonder and reflect on the importance of protecting it for future generations.
Sustainability is the path to prosperity for humanity and businesses alike.
At Homa, we believe that sustainability isn't just a buzzword – it's a critical consideration for businesses in all industries. That's why we strive to design, engineer and manufacture appliances that minimise environmental impact.
Our environmental challenges, from climate change to pollution to deforestation, sometimes feel overwhelming. But rather than giving up or feeling helpless, we're committed to acting. We know we are responsible for doing our part and committed to making a positive difference.
So, what are we doing to reduce our environmental impact?
Here are just a few examples:
We're minimising waste: From our manufacturing processes to our packaging materials, we're constantly looking for ways to reduce waste and ensure that we're not contributing to the world's growing landfills.
We're designing products that are energy-efficient and easy to repair: Our refrigerators are designed with sustainability in mind, with features like high-efficiency compressors, easy-to-repair appliances (discover and enrol our TSM program), easy-to-replace parts (join our SPM project) that reduce energy consumption and extend the lifespan of our products.
We have also started using more readily recyclable materials (product and packaging) and fewer plastics when introducing new platforms.
We're making a tangible difference in the journey against climate change and other environmental challenges by taking these steps. But we know we can't do it alone, so we want to encourage our customers and community to join us in our efforts to protect the planet.
We know much work must be done, but we're optimistic about the future.
With every earth-friendly refrigerator we produce, every watt of renewable energy we use, and every customer we inspire to make sustainable choices, we're moving one step closer to a healthier, more sustainable planet.
